Doula Services
What is a Death Doula?
A death doula, also known as an end-of-life doula or death midwife, is a trained nonmedical professional who helps people prepare for and experience death. They provide emotional, practical, and spiritual support to the dying person and their loved ones. Death doulas can start working weeks or months before someone dies and even before they're sick.
The dying person's family often brings in death doulas. Their role is to create a non-judgmental space that empowers patients and their loved ones to make the choices they want for their death experiences. They can also help families cope with death by recognizing it as a natural and vital part of life.
